Membership Information The Procedure for joining Evangel involves 5 steps:   1.  Attend the Inquirer’s Class. This class is designed for those interested in learning more about Evangel, its doctrine and purpose, our denomination, the sacraments, church government, and the ministries of our church.  See below for dates of next class. 2.  Meet with the pastor and elders during the Sunday school hour to share testimony and answer the five questions of church membership.      3.  Making a public profession of faith in Christ by answering the five questions of church membership before the congregation on a subsequent week to the meeting with our pastor and elders.      4.  The administration of baptism for those who have not received this sacrament. Evangel Inquirer's Class  Purpose: For a better understanding of what the Bible teaches concerning the Church, its government, and its sacraments.  And specifically, how this church seeks to fulfill God's purposes in our community. Dates: Our Inquirer's Classes for the first half of 2012 will be on:  January 8th, February 26th, April 15th, May 27th, and July 15th. These are on Sundays, and will be from 5:00pm - 8:00pm.  If you would like to attend one of these classes, please contact Nancy Kitts (664-0889) in our church office to let us know you will be attending. Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Son of God, and the Savior of sinners, and do you receive and rest upon Him alone for salvation as He is offered in the Gospel? 2. Do you acknowledge yourselves to be sinners in the sight of God, justly deserving His displeasure, and without hope save in His sovereign mercy? 3.  Do you now resolve and promise, in humble reliance upon the grace of the Holy Spirit, that you will endeavor to live as becomes the followers of Christ?  4.  Do you promise to support the church in its worship and work to the best of your ability?  5.  Do you submit yourselves to the government and discipline of the church and promise to study its purity and peace?
